Two Guys’ Wives: Ways You Can Pray For Us

We would like to thank you for all the many ways you have prayed for us while on this journey and for your ongoing commitment to continue to pray. We need it! Most of our requests probably aren’t too different from many other women. Please pray as the Lord leads you!

Above all else, we desire to love God and others. If your time to spend praying for us is brief, you can pray to that end! If you have a few extra minutes, below are some specific areas that you can use to help guide your prayers: Continue reading “Two Guys’ Wives: Ways You Can Pray For Us”

July 2017 Update

It’s hard to believe that I (Aaron) am writing this, it seems like yesterday that we were packing our Uhaul, saying by to those we love and making our way to Louisville to begin the adventure of preparation for pastoral ministry and church planting.  It has been an experience we will never forget, and one that God will use to serve us for the rest of our lives personally and ministerially.

April 2017 Update

Heartfelt Gratefulness

Family and friends, for the first time in quite a while we have had the chance to come up for some air in order to write an update. Our time here in Louisville has been a tremendous blessing and learning experience that will serve us for the rest of our lives.  And we want you to know that we could not have done this without your prayers, encouragement and support.  Many of you have sacrificed your time and your financial resources in order to partner with us in the gospel (Phil. 1:5), and when Andrea and I think of all of this our hearts are filled with joy (Phil. 1:4).  We have been overwhelmed with how God has provided for us this far, and we are confident that He will continue to do so into the future.  Continue reading “April 2017 Update”

Behold

It has been too long since I (Andrea) last blogged. There has been a reason for that which I will delve into more specifically as I write this post. I hope that as I share, you will in some way be encouraged or led to pray for someone you know who is facing a tough time, and maybe reach out to them. And if nothing else comes of this post but a reminder to myself down the road when needed, then I trust I was faithful to write as the Lord led.

Last year was a year of great change. We all go through seasons of change, many times throughout our lives. It’s just the nature of life. And while I know in my heart that the way things were then and the way things are now will not always be so again…change still can wreak havoc on this mere mortal that is but dust. Andrea’s October Update

As promised….here is my take on the last two months.

In summary, some days I feel like I have been donkey kicked by a pack of alpaca’s and other days I feel like I have nailed it. I spend most of my days in between…..somewhere between Roseann and June Cleaver. Continue reading “Andrea’s October Update”

October Update

pc-class-of-2017

Friends and family, it has been too long since the last time we touched base, but there is good reason for this.  The last two months have been full of Andrea and I getting acclimated with Louisville itself, Andrea meshing out what it looks like to be home all day with two wonderfully rambunctious children, and then me getting thrown into the furnace of the Pastors College.  All of this, needless to say has served to show us our need to rest in all that Christ has done for us, and also the way that the body of Christ is meant to be a place in which we confess our sins and point each other over and over again back to the truths of the gospel.  What I would like to do in this post is simply give some commentary as to what my days and weeks look like here at the Pastors College.  But, before I do that, I have to tell you that the Pastors and the members here at this church have been an example of servants and a model to look to for future Pastoral Ministry, and servant hood.  The theme that resounds over and over again is, the Gospel, the good news about all that God has done for us in Christ to rescue us from Gods wrath and redeem us through His blood, adopting us into His family and how this message informs everything we do as children of God from parenting to our vocation, all for His name sake.

August Update

The last few months have been a whirlwind, chaotic and uncertain at times, but wrapped in an abundant amount of God’s grace. Aaron and I feel so undeserving to be where we are right now, the least likely of ones to be here. We are completely overwhelmed with what we get to see God doing first hand. There are so many of you who have made this all possible with your prayers, encouragement, sacrificial giving of time or money (or a car!!!) and hospitality! I can start this update in no other way than by thanking you and giving glory to God who truly does more than we ask, think or imagine. Continue reading “August Update”

What’s Happening Now?

photo-3

(Cousin love before we go!)

It has been a while since we updated you and we really wanted to let you all know where we are in our journey towards church planting and the preparation leading up to it. Before I go into any of that we want to thank you for your prayers. We truly believe that your prayers and the faithfulness of God has helped keep our eyes on what really matters during a time of so much transition and uncertainty. The care and generosity of our brothers and sisters in Christ has overwhelmed us with thankfulness to God and given us such a greater appreciation for the Body of Christ, some of which we have never even met face to face yet. We want to thank those of you who have invested financially, whether you gave a one-time gift or have committed to monthly giving. We would not be able to do this without your support. Bit by Bit: A Plan Revealed

open book image

Okay. This is surreal. I am sitting in Panera by myself. Stealing away a short time to finally put into words, as best I can, what I have wanted to share for two weeks! I enjoy writing, always have. I’m not a great writer. And if you are a member of the grammar police, whom I love and appreciate dearly, prepare to twitch your way through this post. I don’t write to be the best or to be something in someone’s eyes. I do it because I enjoy it and I love sharing about the goodness of God. I try to bring glory to God in it! The gift of time to write is sparse during this season of my life so the extra effort to get away and actually write is something I reserve for those times I feel compelled to write.
